Song About a Bug Getting Stoned

This is the next song in the continuing series of songs sung/rapped from the point of view of my shadow (see entry from September 20 for an explanation of what I'm talking about). This song is about the part of my shadow complex that's an annoying, buzzing insect. See, in the song, someone is smoking weed, and a bug flies into the smoke and gets stoned. That's what the song is about. It's about a bug that accidentally smokes pot.

Note: when I use the term, "rap," I'm usin' it loosely. I'm not sure if those spoken-word parts of the songs are actual rap, or if they're just weird poetry.

Oh, yeah, and in case you're wondering why the same comic strip characters keep on appearing in the song illustrations, those are the characters in my graphic novels.

Here's last week's song if you turn it around backwards. The rhythm of the singing part is kinda different from the regular version.

Here are the lyrics:

You flew right into the smoke! Oh, shit, you just took a toke!
You are a bug who is stoned. And you can never go home.
You flew right into the weed. Now in your brain, there's a seed.
Mental direction you drift. It caused a big, mighty rift.

I am just a stupid, buzzing bug, blind as a bat, shitting all over the rug
And I'm stupid and careless, and no one gives a fuck,
When I'm burned down to ashes, swimming seas of bad luck
No one remembers that time of year, when mosquitoes painted rainbows inside their ears
In the days, when their heads were in the clouds
Grinding over timeless, purple shrouds.
