Keep It Confidential

CONFIDTL
In figuring out how to fight against the teachers, the angels decide to mess with their minds. Angels can do that cuz they're all supernatural and stuff. (See below if you're not familiar with this series of songs). In a rare moment where the girl can actually hear them, they tell her their plan for dorking up the teachers' brains, but they also tell her to keep that information confidential. I think maybe if word got out that the girl's guardian angels are gonna mess up the teachers, she might get in trouble.

The hook for this song came from a dream; I wouldn't be surprised if it was day-residue from the preceding work-day. What I mean to say is...this song reminds me of work because I have to keep things confidential when I do therapy for people. If you don't keep things confidential, you could go to jail.

I wouldn't want to go to jail. But I also wouldn't wanna tell people's secrets to other people, anyway, because that would be a shitty thing to do. That would be the ultimate shitty poop thing to do.

When I first recorded this song several months ago, I was afraid it'd stress me out because it might remind me of work. But it doesn't. Or, I mean, it reminds me of work, but it doesn't stress me out.

A couple notes: one might wonder what a poop-id is. It's a thing that rhymes with stupid, but it's also a combination of an id and a shadow. I dunno what Freud and Jung would think o' me mixing their concepts together, since the two of them didn't get along very well later in life. But, in any event, the id is the naughty part of the psyche, and the shadow is the disowned part of the psyche. Lots of people have poop in their shadows, I think. It follows that a poop-id would be the shadow self of a very uptight person. Y'know, you'd expect an uptight person to disown his or her id because those types of people don't like things that are naughty. Therefore, their ids get entirely subsumed under their shadows.

That brings me back around to the song. The teachers are rigid, uptight buttholes; and as such, one would expect them to disown their ids. Their ids are poop-ids. But the angels are plannin' to make them face those parts of themselves, thereby destabilizing their entire psychic structures and allowing the girl to regain her sense of self. Y'know, with the teachers bein' all destabilized, she can get a break from them and their oppressive natures that are stomping her down.

Weird keep it confidential
Here's last week's song if you turn it around backwards.

The lyrics are:

Keep it confidential / Keep it confidential / Keep it confidential now

We’ll have them praying to the Time-God
A single sucking sound divine rod

Keep it confidential / Keep it confidential / Keep it confidential now

We’ll have them pooping stooping backwards
In the fruiting looping they will lack turds

Can this be true that they’re talking to me?
My angels did not run away, it’s them that I can see
And they tell me that they’ll fight the teachers that are bad
Singing songs (go) backwards in the night that wishes had
And they tell me…keep it a secret what they’ll do
They will fight the teachers and our wishes will come true
And they told me confidential is the way to go
Cuz I will get in trouble if the teachers start to know

We’ll have them thinking they are stupid
A million miles inside the poop – id

Keep it confidential / Keep it confidential / Keep it confidential now

One day, I started writing a song about a fucked up school. Then, a few days later, that lawsuit came out, involving those pervy professors in the Dartmouth Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences. I was all, oh, my stars!!! That’s where I got my Ph.D.! Then I finished writing the song about a week later. I thought it was just a song about how the school system fucks up kids, but after I finished writing and recording it, I realized parts of it were about my experiences in that poopy psych department (the unconscious mind works in mysterious ways). In any event, I decided to write an album about a fucked up school in order to process my experiences of having been in that department and how the culture there impacted me. This album ain’t necessarily about Dartmouth, per se. It’s more of a weird, inner exploration where I’m, like, having a fucked up dialogue with my unconscious about my experiences at Dartmouth. Jung used to call that kind of stuff “active imagination.” So far, this album follows the story of a girl, whose guardian angels try to protect her, but often can't find her. The angels at some point decide that they have to protect the girl from those nasty teachers and start to plot against them.

Wan Lush Ned If Nock Tih Peak

Here's another backwards song. When I re-listened it today before making this post, it sounded churchy to me. It's all church-like with that organ there. Since it is a church-music-ish backwards-song, I couldn't resist drawering a picture of Jesus in a church with his friends, bein' all weirded out by all that Jesus-talk.

Then, I realized, whoops, Jesus is Jewish; would he be in a church? Wouldn't he be in a synagogue, instead? Then again, I don't think his buddies are very churchy people, either; so maybe they're there to watch some kid get baptized or something. Y'know, they got invited by some friends who have a kid getting baptized. Yeah, I think that's what it is; those guys are there to see some friends' kid get baptized.

I'm predicting that Jesus and his friends are gonna go have beer afterwards.

We Have To Fight Them

FIGHT005
In this song about a girl in a fucked up school (see below if you're unfamiliar with this project), the girl's guardian angels are very concerned about the extent to which the teachers are fucking up her mind. They ultimately decide that they have to do something about it. Those angels decide that they have to go to war with the teachers in order to save the girl. As you can tell, looking at the picture, it's not like they're happy that they have to do that. Those there angels are nice; and because they're nice, they don't like to harm people. But in this case, they gotta potentially do harm to those mean teachers because they need to protect the girl. I mean, they are her guardian angels, after all.

Weird we have to fight them
This is last week's song if you turn it around backwards.

They lyrics are:
It is the day we realized / the teachers are her enemies
And this school is no big prize / for the girl who likes to talk to trees
We’re her guardian angels and  / we won’t let them ruin her mind
We will stop the teachers’ plan / they are stupid and unkind
We’re her guardian angels and we love her very much
She will get real stupid if we let things stay as such
And we hear the battle cry / raining on the thunder up high
Fuck, we do not have an excuse / the school has set the demons loose

We have to fight them, we have to fight them, we have to fight them, we have to fight them

We have to fight against the teachers fight against them now, we have to fight against the teachers, fight against them now

We do not know how this will go / when the battle cry is singing down low
Will it make things good again / for the girl who’s in the devil’s den?
We’re the angels and we’ll fight / for the girl so we’ll know she’s alright
For the girl who likes to talk to the trees / for the girl who’s singing on the breeze

Meth Tyaff Oot Vah Hugh

This here backwards song sounds all serious, as if whoever's singing it should be marching. Y'know, they're marching because it's official-sounding.

I'm posting this a few days early because I have a bunch of dumb, work-related stuff next weekend and don't know if I'll have time to post it then.
