Death Songs Song

In this song, Rudy thinks he has Mogie's and Verdell's and Corky's death songs stuck inside his head. In reality, they're singing those songs to him from the spirit world. Y'know how, when spirits talk to people, people often confuse that communication with their very own thoughts? That's what's happening here.

I did 2 mixes of last week's song. This one is more rhythm section-heavy, if you wanna listen to something with a big-sounding sound.
I did a mix with higher vocals so you could hear the lyrics better.

For anyone new to this blog, the album I'm discussing is based on the movie, Skins. (Spoiler Alert)... It follows this character, Corky Red Tail, into the afterlife cuz he gets murdered in the beginning of the movie. Then he's joined by Mogie and Verdell, who both die of alcoholism in one way or another. The three of them work together to try to get a message to Corky's mom that he's okay in the afterlife. The most likeliest candidate to do that is Rudy, Mogie's brother, because all three of them knew Rudy when they were alive, so they're all connected to him in one way or another.

Romey Neh Nay Nearthon

Here's another backwards song. This is the backwards version of one of my favorite songs on the album I'm posting, yesiree. I was all happy with the way this song and next week's song turned out.

Death Song Medley

I'm posting 4 days early because I'm not gonna be in a place that has internet later this week. I mainly recorded this song for shits and giggles, but you'll find out week-after-next that it actually does move the plot along. In this song, Mogie, Verdell, and Corky all decide to sing their death songs at the same time to see how they blend together.

The high pitched voice sings part of the song backwards because I found that it was getting too darn repetitive. That's why last week's backwards-song is partially in English.

Here's last week's song if you play it backwards.

Backwards Medley Thingy

This is the next backwards song on the album thingy I'm posting. It's got three different voices that sing different melodies together. When I finished, I wondered if it sounded a bit like Bach. But I dunno, man. I'm not as sophisticated as old J.S. Bach was. See, the picture is supposed to be Bach being not sure of what to think of this song. But I dunno if it looks very much like Bach.

In any event, the complexity of figuring out the backwards version of a song with 3 vocal melodies necessitated the use of a spread sheet. See?

This is my first spreadsheet-song.

Together

After Corky expresses discouragement about Verdell and Mogie being dead, because he wanted them go get the message to his mom that he's alright, Verdell and Mogie tell him that their being dead might be to Corky's advantage. If the three of them work together, they can communicate more effectively with the living. Like, you know, if they pool all of their voices together, it'll be louder than just one spirit shouting. They make plans to communicate with Mogie's brother, Rudy, and try to get him to get the message to Corky's mom.

Here's last week's song, but how it sounds if you turn it around backwards.
