In Heaven

This is the next song in that album I'm posting, but even though it's part of the continuing story, it's the kind of song that can, like, stand on its own, I think.

This song is sung from the point of view of a man who dies of alcoholism. He finds himself up in Heaven and is all oh shit because he keeps on being reincarnated and dying of alcoholism again and again and again. Like, every time he comes to earth, he ends up dying of alcoholism. As a spirit, he keeps on having the goal of going to Earth and dying of natural causes, but he keeps on getting frustrated again and again cuz he always ends up dying of alcoholism.

Oh, yeah, it has a coyote barking in it. My brother recorded a coyote barking, and I sampled it. Thanks, bro! Yeah, what I appreciate about that coyote barking is it sounds sorta like it's a little doggie hiccuping. Hiccups go with the theme of drunkenness, that is true. Hiccups and dying of the drink. It all goes together real nice.

It's actually sung from the point of view of Verdell, it's Verdell's I-just-got-to-Heaven song.

Here's last week's song when you turn it around. Woohoo.

For anyone new to this blog, the album I'm discussing is based on the movie, Skins. (Spoiler Alert)... It follows this character, Corky Red Tail, into the afterlife cuz he gets murdered in the beginning of the movie. Then he's joined by Mogie and Verdell, who both die of alcoholism in one way or another. The three of them work together to try to get a message to Corky's mom that he's okay in the afterlife. The most likeliest candidate to do that is Rudy, Mogie's brother, because all three of them knew Rudy when they were alive, so they're all connected to him in one way or another.
