A Thousand Deaths

In the most recent installment of the movie I'm making, Jesus says "a thousand deaths." When I played it back, I realized it sorta made a melody when he said it, so I made it into a song. Here it is.

I was downloading a bunch of old ditties of mine onto a computer from the Typepad website cuz it's no longer gonna exist, come September 30. (That's why you're no longer see those blue, underliney song player thingies). I needed to do that cuz those songs would be hard for me to find, y'know, cuz I have 'em on a bunch of random thumb drives and stuff. 

Anyway, there were a couple years where I did lots of songs about vampires. I realized I haven't really thought about vampires in a long time, so I did this song.

Here are the lyrics (since the rapping is a little fast in places):

There was a time period when vampires 

were on my mind and I've been a fan

of the series that is called, "Buffy

the Vampire Slayer." It was so lovely

And don't forget "Twilight." Those books

can be addictive and I was so hooked

They were like crack. I'd go through that stack

of books so fast. They were always in my backpack

In 2009 I wrote many 

songs about all those vampires that sent me

into Fantasy Land with some sexy

glamorous vampire-man. Let me

tell you, the change in my brain from that time till

now ain't the best. I'm depressed and I'm filled

with some apathy. Is that why

I don't care about vampires? And my

songs got dark, with no spark in the context

of the badness and sadness. My song-fest

now is grim. The world is in trouble

My feelings are dim, and my sadness is doubled

Or do they just sound stupid to me now?

Fucking sucking blood is astoundingly boring now

An sometimes, I wonder why I was in-

to them. Now it seems like it's something 

arbitrary. Now it seems like it's random

to be a member of such a fandom

But maybe someday, I will go back

to the vampires, who have capes that are so black

and the blood sucking will once more be something

that I wanna watch. It'll be a fun thing.

But now I will say to you today

that vampires are as boring as Tuesdays

Fire 5 Miles Away

Yes, Typepad seems to be getting unstable - can't upload the song. Sigh. I'll try again tomorrow. But the player thingy at the bottom still works. 

That was a trip; my Watch Duty app thingy told me this afternoon that there was a brush fire in my town. I was all, oh gosh. Then it grew from .25 acres to 5 acres, and I'm all, oh gosh. I started gettin' my ducks in a row in case I had to evacuate. But they put the fire out after about an hour. Phew.

We Will Be Fine Reprise for Graham Greene

 Well, poop, Typepad isn't working, so I can't do the little blue underliney link thingy player thingy. Anyway.... [Edit]: got it working this morning, but.....

[Edit]: Holy crap, I found out Typepad is going to stop existing on September 30, 2025, so, everyone: the blue, underliney song player thingy is no longer going to work on September 30. (Fuck!!!!) All that said, if you wanna take advantage of the blue underliney thingy player thingy, do it now before it stops working. Download songs, do whatever is needed. Arrrgh!!!!!

I got real sad yesterday when I found out Graham Greene died. He was one of my favoritest actors in the world. I actually wrote a requiem in 2015 for a character he played, who died, in the movie, Skins. Anyway, I got sad, so I did a little reprise of an old song from 2021 in honor of him. I changed some o' the lyrics and did a new rap. But my apologies to anyone within earshot of this song, and my apologies to Graham Greene, as well: My voice is extra special jacked up today. Ugh. Dust mites? Am I coming down with something. I might be fighting off a cold. Anyway, here it is.
