I want this thing so bad

I'm shooting for the sound of a bunch of people in church singing piously but very badly, praying for the thing I want to have come true...however...........

That picture above is of me all day today, hitting the refresh button and not seeing the thing I wanted to have show up in my inbox. Damn it all. I don't think this thing is going to happen, after all, even though I thought it was in the bag. But then I remembered that I am cursed, so of course this good thing is not going to happen. I can really relate to the character, Max, on Stranger Things, cuz she's cursed, too, just like I am.
