Here's a song that provides a little explanation for why I just posted a big, long loop of dogs barking and stuff.

The Misophonia Adventures Page
Okay, I wonder what my neighbors from hell will throw at me next; but here are some sounds for drowning out obnoxious neighbor sounds. I hope it helps others as much as it helps me. (Although the sounds here might sound worse to people than the sounds I'm trying to cover up; ha ha ha). (See previous entries for more on misophonia).

What Is It?
My dude friend spent the night last night; and we listened to lots of tunes. I woke up with this melody in my head, and I'm not sure if the melody is from one of the tunes we listened to last night or if it's something that my brain made up. So...this song is either a song that I consider to be kind of cool, or else it's a bad cover.

Take Me Away
I had no idea my new horrible neighbors would trigger the PTSD that had gone into remission 5.5 years ago. Sigh. Maybe someday, I'll feel normal again. To all of you out there who have horrible neighbor situations, I hope we all can get some relief.

Noise for drowning out bad neighbors' stereos and screaming kids
This is for people who have bad neighbors who have screaming kids and booming stereos and you wanna drown them out but aren't in the mood for music. (I hope it works).

Microphone Sounds Like Anything In My Life
I have company coming next week, so I'm posting this a week ahead of time and putting it on a timer (today's July 4). See, I have company coming next week, so I might not have time to do a song.
As you can see from previous posts, I live in a neighborhood that has screaming kids in it, and I can't stand that sound - it sounds to me like a thousand nails on a thousand chalkboards all at the same time. Google the term, "misophonia," and you'll know why it's such a problem for me.
So, I recorded this song, and here's the reason why: I'm getting some curtains and window inserts to deaden sounds coming from the outside, which, if combined with white noise machines, might hopefully do the trick to block out the kid-noises. But I'll need one of my friends to stand outside the windows with said window treatments and play high pitched screaming-ish sounding voices on his or her phone. That way, I can figure out how loud to make the noise machines in order to block out kids' screams. That's all a very long-winded way of saying, "this is why I did a song with high pitched whiney vocals." I'm hoping they're close enough in frequency and quality to emulate the screaming kids I'm trying to block out.
I actually came up with the vocals and guitar part of this song a long time ago when me and my boyfriend-at-the-time and one other person were all stoned. I won't say who the other person was cuz I want to respect his confidentiality (even though weed is legal now in California).

Gloomy Gus Last Song of First Part of the Album
I lost count...this is either song 18 or 19 or 20 of Gloomy Gus and the Forest That's About to Die. It is really dark. But then it isn't dark at the end. If you get to the end, you'll see it's not as dark as it at first appeared.
Okay, I redid the very last part part of the song so it sucks less. But I'll leave the sucky version down there just for your enjoyment.
Sucky ending version.

Make America Fucked Up Again
It's my annual I'm-not-celebrating-the-4th-of-July-themed song, which I've been doing since 2022 cuz America is on the fucked up side. My good friend suggested doing a song called, "Make America Fucked Up Again," so that's what I did.
