This is a break-up song; I haven't written a break-up song in a million years. Yes, indeed, it was time to write another break-up song, indeed, indeed. In this song, the metaphor of going all the way to Mars was used - as in - with the type of break-up where you don't talk to the other person, they might as well be all the way on Mars, since you'll never interact with them again. I also used the metaphor of food rotting in the fridge - as in, keeping this dude around is about the same as keeping food rotting in the fridge. But if that rotting food went to deep space, it'll be cold enough, colder than a drink on the rocks, to preserve said rotting food. Everybody wins!
The three meows at the beginning were the samples I used for the loop. I changed the pitch, such that the 3 layered meows are all C's in the first part of the loop, and then they comprise a C major chord in the second half of the loop. It makes for a weird, cool hip-hop kitty sound.
They lyrics are:
Never see you again
Never see you again
You are off to mars where they drink the stars
Never see you again
In a rocket ship on the longest trip
Never see you again
Never see you again
Everything has to end
Never see you again
When you get to mars you will find the bars
Never see you again
With the strongest drinks that make thoughts extinct
Never see you again
How did you become something past
the expiration? Now you won't last
And I see a frown on your face
Because it is time to go off to space
Go to deep space, please, so you'll get to live
But in space you'll be cool as drinks on the rocks
You are off to space with a smiling face
