As the possession album comes to a close, the characters become self-aware and talk to the audience. Their story is ripe for a sequel, for sure. Yeah, someday, there'll be a sequel. There'll probably be 1 or 2 more songs on here, and hopefully, my vocals will be better on those ones. (And, along similar lines, maybe when the characters come back for a sequel, my voice will have recovered from whatever it is that's making it janky - and my apologies again for the craptastic nature of the vocals, in places).

I'm just about to move, and this song is about how I'm sad about it. This is the last song I recorded in this apartment...now I gotta concentrate on putting things in boxes.

 Here's another attempt to do a drunk church song. I failed, but the song is decent enough. It's odd: my songs come out drunk churchy when I'm not trying to sound drunk churchy. I think the most recent song that actually sounds like a drunk church is I Got Un-Hungry Today. That one ain't an actual church song, but it sounds drunk-churchy.

 I had a dream this morning that I was in a band and we were going to perform at an open mike night. There was this song I wanted to perform where the vocals alternated between singing and rapping in a call and response-ish fashion. I attempted to do a song of the same variety here, but it's probably not as good as the actual song in the dream. 

Oh, yeah, and I'm gonna be moving soon, and most of my music equipment and instruments are at the new place, so the quality of this recording is extra crappy.

 This is the next song in the possession album. The girl has told Timmy, Bobby, and Father O'Malley she can warn people when a wild fire is gonna start, cuz she's in communication with the fire god. They realize, wait, people might think she's the one who is starting the fires cuz how would you be able to predict a fire starting unless you're the one starting it?

This song piggy backs on yesterday's song...I realized, even though I like how yesterday's song turned out, it wasn't how I imagined it to sound initially. So I did a variation on a theme-thingy and presented a scenario where the complainy girl has friends who don't mind listening to her complaints.

This is a reprise of a song I did back in 2020; it's the next song in the possession album. The fire god talks to the girl through the flame of her lighter and tells her of a thing they can do together to help the world.

Here's the song I posted earlier today, but with the fireworks sounds in it. They come in close to the end. Yeah, California is a tinder-box, and having a bunch of people setting off fireworks that they're not supposed to set off makes me nervous. 

See, some asshole was setting off fireworks 3 nights ago and ended up starting a brush fire that grew to 5 acres. That 5 acres is very close to where I live. The LA Fire Department even had a bunch of firefighters stationed along my street to protect the buildings on it. Thank God they stopped it in time. I think if it had been windy that night, this apartment building would have been ashes. Sheesh, man. 

So, that's another reason I'm nervous about this whole fireworks thing this year.

This is a song about why I'm not celebrating the 4th of July this year. It's not my favorite holiday, anyway, because idiots come out and try to burn down the entire state with their dumb, illegal fireworks. But, on top of that, this year is extra special. This is the year half of the population of the united states lost the freedom to control their own bodies. It seems like a dumb time to celebrate freedom.
